Job Summary: This position performs a variety of duties associated with the receipt, storage, issuance, and delivery of nutrition services goods. Responsibilities include the operation of the nutrition services central receiving point; districtwide distribution of items such as nutrition services meals, supplies, materials and correspondence; and maintenance of warehouse equipment and vehicles.
New Hire Starting Hourly Rate: Grade 6: $21.60 - $24.14 DOE
Internal Hourly Rate: Determined by the ESSA Negotiated Agreement
Hours Worked: 7.5 hours per day
Work Year: 12 months
Bargaining Unit: Education Support Staff Association (ESSA)
Job Qualifications/Requirements (please review job description for qualifications and duties of the position):
1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. One (1) year of experience in a warehouse.
3. Experience in the safe operation and maintenance of vehicles and equipment associated with warehouse tasks.
4. Must maintain an appropriate level of physical fitness to successfully meet the physical demands of this position, including being able to lift a 60-pound container of material from floor to chest-level without injury.
5. Able to demonstrate strong interpersonal skills to work successfully as a team member with a wide variety of personnel.
6. Must have the ability to work independently under high volume workload, and completing work amidst numerous interruptions.
7. Must possess a high degree of knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures, storage operations, distribution, and inventory control.
8. Must have thorough knowledge of Windows Operating Systems and programs to perform job duties.
9. Possess basic high school level mathematics skills.
10. Must be able to travel to various schools and offices within the Fairbanks North Star Borough. While driving on District business, must hold a valid driver's license, current vehicle insurance and registration.
