Job Title: Accounts Payable Technician

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following
Accurate data entry, typing, filing and archiving a variety of materials, utilizing Laserfiche, School ERP Pro, and Droplet for the Business Office.
Reviews all claims for proper authorization, budget authority and coding and find resolutions to questioned items.
Prints all claim checks (using appropriate checks); matches appropriate documentation to duplicate check copy.
Creates ACH requests sent to the Borough to cover claims.
Creates a Claims Report for Administrative review and Board of Education approval.
Maintains travel database, sends out travel authorizations, and follows up with
delinquent travel reports.
Reviews and reconciles vendor statements, research and resolve questioned items.
Maintains files on and monitors vendor contracts and leases.
Assists in recording and tracking district assets.
Maintain various spreadsheets, databases and other records such as recurring monthly expenses.
Assists in following up with vendors and staff in regards to requisitions, purchase orders and items purchased.
Monitor all open blanket purchase orders for tracking and reasonableness.
Sorts, reconciles and enters lunch money for deposits on a daily basis.
Prepares bank deposits.
Greets individuals, answering the phone, transferring phone calls and other clerical duties.
Assists the Business Manager and Superintendent as needed and completes all duties as assigned.

High school diploma or GED required. An associate degree and/or three (3) years of related experience preferred.
Ability to read and interpret basic instructions, safety information, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence and communicate clearly in spoken interactions.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
