Summary or Purpose: To work closely with identified special-needs students on a regular basis to provide them with the physical, emotional, and/or academic support they need to gain full benefits from the district's special education/alternative programs or placement in regular education curriculum.
Qualification Requirements:
► Bachelor' Degree in Education required; Master' Degree preferred.
► Alaska teacher certificate required with AK READS K-3 endorsement.
► Special Education endorsement required.
► Cultural awareness, sensitivity, and knowledge of the cultures reflected required.
► Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
