POSITION SUMMARY:

Craig High School is seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Career & Technical Education instructor to teach shop safety, woodworking, tool use, construction & trades, career readiness skills, and other appropriate project-based learning content.  This position will also teach one elective class at the middle school, and serve as the Data Coordinator for the grant, supporting reporting and compliance requirements.

 REQUIREMENTS:      

• Candidates must hold one of the following valid Alaska teaching certifications:
  • Type A (Regular Teacher Certificate)
  • Type M (Specialized Vocational Certificate)
• Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding school district related matters, students, families, and staff.
• Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.

SALARY:     Per CEA Certified Employees Negotiated Agreement

BENEFITS:

• Full family medical, dental, and vision with Public Education Health Trust (PEHT).  Per the CEA Negotiated Agreement, the certified staff premium contributions for the 2026-2027 and 2027-2028 school years will be as follows:
  • Medical Plan A / Dental Plan B:  6% employee contribution

  • Medical Plan E / Dental Plan B:  2% employee contribution
  • Medical Plan G / Dental Plan B:  0% employee contribution
