Long-Term Sub for 2nd Semester 2025-2026 School Year
Yukon Flats School District is seeking a dedicated and adaptable K-12 General Teacher to support student learning across content areas as assigned.
Deliver instruction aligned with state standards and district curriculum
Adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs and grade levels
Create a positive, inclusive, and structured learning environment
Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
Collaborate with administrators, support staff, and families
Maintain accurate records, lesson plans, and required documentation
Support school-wide initiatives, supervision, and activities as assigned
Uphold district policies, professional standards, and ethical practices
Valid AlaskaTeaching Certificate or ability to obtain certification upon hire
Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field
Knowledge of instructional strategies across multiple grade levels
Strong classroom management and communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Salary is dependent on experience and education placement according to the negotiated agreement.
The Yukon Flats school district spans the vast northeastern region of Alaska known as the Yukon Flats. The northernmost community, Arctic Village, sits at the base of the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge in the foothills of the Brooks Range.
