The Aleutians East Borough School District (AEBSD) is seeking a dynamic and dedicated educator to serve as the Principal/Teacher at False Pass School, a small K–12 school with approximately 14 students. This unique role combines instructional leadership with full-time teaching across grade levels, supported by a classroom aide and a highly engaged parent and community network.

This position requires a valid Alaska educator certificate.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
The following are required:
1. A valid Alaska initial, professional, or master teaching certificate.
2. Evidence of content knowledge shown by:
a. a posted degree in the content area of this position; or
b. a posted minor in the content area of this position; or
c. passing Praxis Subject Assessments scores (formerly Praxis II) in the content area of this position; or
d. an endorsement in the content area of this position
The following are preferred:
1. By start date: a valid Alaska type B administrative certificate with an endorsement including grade levels K-12 and a valid Alaska teaching (initial, professional, or master) or Alaska Type C special services certificate.
2. Evidence of three years of successful public-school experience.
3. Evidence of three years of successful public elementary and/or secondary level teaching experience.
4. Evidence of two years of successful public elementary and/or secondary level administrative experience.
