The Kodiak Island Borough School District is accepting applications for an Assistant Superintendent for the Central Office for the 2026-2027 school year.
ASSISTANT SUPERINTENDENT
Position Summary:
Administrator responsible for serving as the Chief Executive Officer of the Office of the Superintendent, overseeing the operation of the school district by working with directors, coordinators, principals, and building staff to build vision, set priorities, and develop long- and short-range plans for the day-to-day operation of the school district, supervising on a constant and ongoing basis the translation of the District's educational philosophy, goals, and objectives into active terms that directly benefit each individual student, and providing direct oversight to the management of all personnel practices and human resources. The Assistant Superintendent is a member of Kodiak Administrators Association and is the Superintendent designee for District-wide administrative duty.
Qualifications:
Applicants must have, or be able to obtain, a State of Alaska type B Administrative Certificate with any appropriate endorsements.
