Position Title:
MASST Program Coordinator - Kenai/Gulf Region
Position Description:
The Mature Alaskans Seeking Skills Training (MASST) program, part of SERRC, serves seniors in overcoming barriers to employment. The program focuses on providing essential support to help mature Alaskans gain the skills needed for successful job placement. Through collaboration with various partner agencies, promotion of program activities, client recruitment, skill assessment, and job development, the MASST program ensures that seniors receive the assistance they need to enter or re-enter the workforce.
Position Description:
The MASST Coordinator oversees the MASST program, ensuring effective implementation and achievement of program goals within set timeframes. Responsibilities include facilitating communication with service agencies, promoting program activities, recruiting clients, assessing their skills and needs, and providing job development and placement at host sites. The Coordinator also prepares reports and evaluations related to the project.

Any equivalent combination of education, experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the work will be considered.

Working Hours:
Part-Time, 10-15 hrs/week through May/June 2026.

Benefits:
SERRC offers an excellent benefits package, including State of Alaska retirement plan (TRS/PERS), health benefits, and sick and annual/personal leave, depending on the length of the employment contract. Employees who work 173 days or more during the contract year are eligible for full-time benefits. Employees who work between 115 and 172 days are eligible for pro-rated health benefits. Hourly employees who are scheduled to work 15 hours per week or less are not eligible for benefits. All employees are eligible to participate in an employee-sponsored 403(b) plan and AFLAC.

SERRC - Alaska's Educational Resource Center - SERRC delivers high-quality educational services and personalized resources to meet the diverse needs of all Alaskans.
