VACANCY NOTICE: 26-27 SCHOOL YEAR
Position: Secondary English/Language Arts Teacher
Qualifications:
-
Valid Alaska Type A teaching certificate preferred
-
Strong background and experience working with high school students
-
Ability to create an engaging an inclusive classroom environment

Excellent communication, collaboration and organizational skills
Responsibilities:
-
Demonstrate a commitment to the district’s mission and vision
-
Join a collaborative team dedicated to student learning, skill development, and wellbeing

Maintain a positive and safe learning environment

Communicate effectively with students, staff, and families

Deliver daily instruction aligned with district curriculum

Develop and follow lesson plans and support student learning goals

Provide timely feedback and grading
Compensation:

Salary is based on experience in accordance with the classified/certified salary schedule

Up to 10 steps will granted for verified years of experience
