The Juneau School District, located in Southeast Alaska, is accepting applications for the position of Director of Student Services. The District serves approximately 4,000 students in preschool through grade twelve and offers a wide range of academic and support services designed to ensure that every student has access to a high-quality education.
The Director of Student Services serves as a member of the Superintendent's Cabinet and provides leadership and oversight for districtwide student support programs including special education, Section 504 services, health services, counseling supports, and programs designed to ensure equitable access to education for all students.
SUMMARY: The Director of Student Services provides strategic leadership, program oversight, and regulatory compliance for the district's student support services. The position ensures that programs serving students with disabilities and other specialized needs operate effectively and in compliance with federal and state law.
The Director works closely with principals, district leadership, families, and community agencies to ensure coordinated and responsive services that support student success, well-being, and access to educational opportunities.

This is a 260-day contract; salary placement is dependent on education and experience. Located in Alaska’s beautiful capital, the Juneau School District (JSD) serves roughly 4,000 students in PreK–12 across 14 schools.
Six elementary schools, one middle school, and one standard high school.
