Accountability: Xóots Principal

Assists the PreK teacher and Ventures Supervisor in providing a moral, safe, and healthy environment for the Xóots Yádi.
Duties and Responsibilities, Including but not Limited to the Following:
• Assists the PreK teacher in developing and maintaining daily activities for PreK-aged children.
• Assists in enforcing the Ventures and Xóots discipline rules.
• Attends weekly staff meetings and staff training.
• Assists in preparing daily snacks.
• Make sure the building is secure if there is not a custodial person or Community Schools person on duty.
• Returns any equipment which has been used (gym equipment, audio-visual materials, chairs, etc.) and cleans areas used, as needed.
• Assists with public and parent contact as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Venture Program Supervisor or Xóots Yádi PreK teacher
• High school diploma or equivalent or currently enrolled in high school.
• Minimum of 18 years of age as mandated by state regulations.
• Child care experience.
• Current First Aid and CPR certificate.
• Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
Established at time of hire. Salary to be determined by the Board.

Performance· of this job will be evaluated in accordance with the provisions of the Board's Policy on Evaluation of Classified Personnel.
