Position Title:
Local Program Teacher (LPT) – SERRC 21st Century Community Learning Center Program
Position Characteristics:
The Local Program Teacher is the instructor for SERRC’s 21st Century Afterschool Program at Dillingham Elementary or Middle/High School. The instructor will perform all duties ensuring responsibilities have been fulfilled in an accurate and timely manner. The Program Coordinator/Director supervises this position.
Position Qualifications:
B.A. or B.S.
Alaska Teaching Certificate
Experience teaching and managing K-2 students, preferred
Flexible, team oriented, collaborative
Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
Experience with student assessments
Position Duties/Responsibilities:

Gather necessary information and enroll new students in program

Plan and facilitate afterschool programming to students in a variety of subjects including but not limited to: ELA, SEL, Physical Movement and Healthy Living, career exploration, STEAM, and CTE in a culturally focused environment using research based best practices

Co-lead activities that integrate local community and virtual online partners to enhance and strengthen programming

Maintain attendance records for students on a daily basis and submit them to the Program Coordinator each week.

Communicate regularly with parents, regular school staff, and on-site lead teacher to ensure link to regular day program and home

Coordinate and implement parent engagement events with school and community

Participate in all scheduled program trainings and mandated trainings

Attend conferences as identified

Distribute and collect all surveys required of grant
