Middle School Assistant Coach - Boys Basketball
Due to the large number of students participating in the boys basketball program, Valdez City Schools is seeking an additional Assistant Boys Basketball Coach to provide additional supervision, instruction, and support. The basketball season runs from September 17 through November 21, 2026. The selected candidate will begin as soon as possible following hire and completion of required onboarding and will remain in the position through November 21, 2026.
SUMMARY
Under the direction of the middle school principal and activities director, a middle school assistant coach supervises and instructs students participating in their selected sport in order to provide students with a positive learning experience in that sport. The Assistant Coach assists the Head Coach in the appropriate instruction of all students participating on the team. The Assistant Coach will also help to monitor supplies, keep track of necessary student forms, and coordinate use of the school facilities for the practices and activities.
