The Sitka School District is accepting applications for substitute teachers. The candidate must be dependable, reliable, flexible and available on short notice. Ability to follow written lesson plans and flexible schedules are essential to the position. Teaching experience is not required. The pay is $200 per day if you are an Alaska certified teacher or $150 per day if not certified.

Non-certified applicants must complete a background check and fingerprints once an application is complete. Background checks can be completed at the Public Safety Academy on Sawmill Creek Rd.
