Job duties: Planning and conducting activities for a balanced 6-12 Middle School and High School Science program of instruction, demonstration, and work time that provides students of different ages and abilities with opportunities to observe, question, investigate and learn

Examples of Duties. Writing lesson plans. Evaluating work, giving appropriate feedback and maintaining records of pupil’s progress and development including legally required records such as grades and attendance. Select and use a range of resources and equipment including technology to instruct students. Prepare students for the all required assessments. Prepare and maintain all records and reports related to attendance, grades, progress and activities; submit all documents on time. Establish and enforce rules for behavior and procedures for maintaining order among the students for whom they are responsible. Organizes time, space, materials and equipment for effective instruction. Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Science Education or Equivalent is required. Valid Alaska Professional Certificate with Science Endorsement is required.
