Itinerant Special Education Director/Special Education Teacher (multiple sites across the district)

JOB SUMMARY:
The Itinerant SpEd Director/SpEd Teacher provides both direct Special Education services to students as well as oversight of the Special Education Programming in the district. This role is a blend of both positions, supporting both district compliance and positive student outcomes. This role will require travel. The Yukon Flats school district spans the vast northeastern region of Alaska known as the Yukon Flats. The northernmost community, Arctic Village, sits at the base of the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge in the foothills of the Brooks Range. Our other communities are either along the Yukon River or navigable tributaries of the Yukon. We have six school sites with approximately 200 students.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Salary is dependent on education and experience per the negotiated agreement.
